how do I learn wedding calligraphy?
the Workshop
Book yourself into an upcoming Wedding Calligraphy Workshop, where you’ll learn everything you’ll need to create beautiful stationery, place cards, menus, wedding favours and more. Check the Events page to see if there’s one scheduled.
About the Workshop
Get to grips with a dip-pen and ink and practice the basic strokes on the sheets provided. I will teach a formal-but-stylish alphabet that you can use for your wedding invitations and more.
Learn about the many different ways that you can apply calligraphy to your wedding, such as signage, table plans, and even hand-written vows.
During the workshop, you’ll create a beautiful piece of calligraphy art that can be framed at home.
You will receive a practice plan to work on at home, to ensure your continued improvement and success.
the Signature program
Coming in August 2025, the DIY Wedding Calligraphy signature program is being developed for brides and grooms who want to create gorgeous wedding elements with calligraphy.
The program includes:
Structured modules with video tutorials, exercises, plus recommended tools & supplies.
Downloadable worksheets and templates to use at home.
Community membership, providing help and encouragement.
Coaching calls on Zoom to support you as you learn.

Hi, I’m Louise, a calligrapher and designer from Galway, Ireland. I have been practising calligraphy since 2015 and I am excited to share this endlessly beautiful and elegant art with you.
My love for calligraphy began when I started designing the written elements of my own wedding, and I’ve been enjoying calligraphy ever since.
